Refund Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026 · The Endless Collective LLC (New York)
The short version
- Cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing wellplacedlive@proton.me.
- You'll keep PRO access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- WellPlaced PRO is a digital subscription, so all payments are non-refundable except where local consumer law requires otherwise, where there is a material defect with the service, or where Paddle (our merchant of record) grants a discretionary refund.
- This policy mirrors and operates alongside the Paddle Refund Policy — Paddle is the legal seller of record on every transaction and processes all refunds.
Cancellation
You can cancel your WellPlaced PRO subscription at any time. After cancellation:
- Your subscription will not auto-renew at the next billing cycle.
- You retain full PRO access until the end of the current paid period (e.g. if you cancel halfway through a month, you keep PRO access for the rest of that month).
- You can resubscribe at any time.
Cancellation alone does not constitute a refund request. To request a refund, follow the process below.
Country-specific statutory withdrawal rights
Local consumer law gives buyers in certain jurisdictions a right to withdraw from a purchase, regardless of this Policy. WellPlaced and Paddle honour the following statutory windows. The window applies only to the first subscription payment (not to renewals) and only where you have not yet substantially used the Service:
- European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland: 14 days from purchase (Consumer Rights Directive / equivalents).
- Turkey, Israel: 14 days from purchase.
- South Korea, Brazil, Canada, mainland China: 7 days from purchase.
- Singapore: 5 days from purchase.
If your country grants a longer or more favourable statutory right, that longer or more favourable right applies and overrides this Policy.
Discretionary refund situations
Outside the statutory windows above, WellPlaced and Paddle will consider refunds case-by-case in the following situations:
- Duplicate or accidental charge — e.g. you were charged twice for the same period or for a subscription you didn't intend to renew.
- Material product defect — if a material issue prevented you from accessing the PRO features described on the pricing page during your billing period, and the issue was our fault.
- Unauthorised charge — if your payment method was used without your consent (we may ask for verification).
To request a refund, email wellplacedlive@proton.me within 14 days of the charge with your account email and the reason. Paddle may also be contacted directly at paddle.net; either path reaches the same decision-maker.
What we will not refund
Consistent with Paddle's policy, we will not issue a refund in the following cases:
- A refund request made after the applicable statutory or discretionary window has expired.
- A change of mind about the Service after substantial use of PRO features.
- Inability to use the Service due to factors outside our control (e.g. local internet outages, restricted browsers, sanctions, expired payment cards).
- Where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour — for example serial refund requests across accounts.
- Already-elapsed paid periods on a cancelled subscription. (Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively refund the period you've already used.)
How refunds are processed
Refunds are issued by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited, back to the original payment method. Paddle aims to process approved refunds within 14 days of approval; funds typically appear in your account within an additional 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer. Currency conversion fees set by your bank are not within our or Paddle's control.
When a refund is issued, your PRO access ends immediately and your subscription is cancelled. You can resubscribe at any time at the then-current price.
Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we and Paddle can usually resolve issues faster than your bank's chargeback process. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account while we and Paddle investigate the dispute, and may delay any legitimate refund you were entitled to.
Free tier
The WellPlaced free tier is, well, free. There's nothing to refund.
Relationship to the Paddle Refund Policy
WellPlaced sells PRO subscriptions through Paddle as the merchant of record. The Paddle Refund Policy governs the legal mechanics of every transaction and takes precedence in any case where the two policies differ. This Policy describes how we apply Paddle's framework to the WellPlaced PRO subscription specifically.
